**Welcome!** Let us introduce you to the `MathPortfolioi website`. Our purpose is to provide a platform for math learners at all levels to present their work in the form of an online portfolio that is located in a wiki website. These portfolios can be useful supplement admission applications, resumes, and class note-taking.

`MathPortfolio website`: The MathPortfolio website is a `curated math wiki` that links and organizes the a `portfolio` of curated `notes.

`Note`: Portfolio `notes` are assembled into an `authors` portfolio. Notes are developed using the `Obsidian` application. Obsidian provides the functionality to create and maintain a wiki site, where each note links to one or more portfolios. Notes can also link to Math [[Topics]] and [[Dictionaries]].

`Portfolio`: Authors create and maintain a portfolio of wiki `notes`

`Teams`: Teams build and maintain portfolio `notes`. usually include an advisor, a Peer, and a principle author.
- The same person can fulfill `multiple MathPortfolio roles`. A `advisor` in one subject area can be an `author`, a `peer`, or a `curator` in another.

`Peer`: Peers collaborate with `authors`. Peers are credited as secondary owners on the notes that they assist authors with.

`Author` : Authors are the principal creators of the notes in a portfolio. They can collaborate with `peers`. They always work with an `advisor` who certifiesthey suitability of the authors notes for inclusion into the authors portfolio.

`Advisor`: Advisors provide guidance and approval of
an `authors` portfolio notes.

`Curator`: Curators upload portfolio notes for `authors`. They maintain an tidy up the portfolios.

`Process` : The process of posting an note into a portfolio involves:
1. Collecting and organizing resources that are used to create the note
2. Writing up the note and optionally creating a descriptive video.
3. Submitting your work to a qualified mentor and to a peer for review and approval. This will usually involve working with your mentor and peerto polish and refine your work.
4. Requesting the website curator to upload your note.
